Shinnok then tells Quan that his payment is that he will let Quan live. Quan is outraged. After all the work he had done, all he gets is to live? Quan starts yelling at Shinnok. Shinnok gets angry and shoots an energy ball at Quan, but it stops in front of Quan. Quan laughs as Shinnok looks surprised. Quan then tells Shinnok that he has the real amulet and the one Shinnok has is an exact replica that Quan had contracted for him. Quan then sends the energy ball back at Shinnok and it kills him.
