Tournament Mode:  Turn on the game and hold L and R and press Start when you get to the main screen.  Now you can choose up to eight different fighters for a nice long fight. Hold Up and Start for random select. If you get an "E", this means you have found Sheeva because she is not in the game.  She is invisible, has no moves, and she usually screws up the game.

Play As Human Smoke:  Pick Robo-Smoke and hold BACK, HP, HK, BLK, and RN until the match begins. Robo-Smoke will turn into Human Smoke.

Restart Fun:  In a 1 player game, hit start on the other controller and then hold start on your controller. Choose the Mortal Kombat style fighting. Now you can restart the fight with a different character without using any continues.

Random Select:  Press Up and Start on the character select screen.

Many Codes:  At the Start/Options Screen, input this code to get all of the cheats from MK3.
Press B, A, D, L, A, D, C, R, U, D, or B, A, Down, Left, A, Down, C, Right, Up, Down.  Shao Kahn will say "Excellent!"  Now you can access the Cheats, Secrets, and Killer Codes menus.

Play As Human Smoke:  Pick Robo-Smoke and hold BACK, HP, HK, BLK, and RN until the match begins. Robo-Smoke will turn into Human Smoke.

Random Select:  Press Up and Start on the character select screen.

Access The Blue Question Mark (?):  At the main title screen, quickly press C, R, A, Z, Y, C, Y, R, A, X. Shao Kahn should laugh a second laugh because he already laughs once at this screen. Then at the stone-turning menu, highlight "Kombat" and press Up. A blue question mark (?) should appear. Press any button to access it.

Free Play:  To get infinite continues, at the copyright screen at the beginning of the game quickly press Up, Up, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Down. Shao Kahn will say "Excellent!" Now when you start the game the credits counter will say "Free Play" so you can continue as many times as you'd like.

Random Select:  Press Up and Start on the character select screen.

Once you beat the game, you get to pick from a row of Shao Kahn's treasures.  Here is what each box holds.

Dragon: See Characters Ending
MK: Play Hidden Galaga Game
Yin-Yang: Fight Ermac
"3": Fight Noob Saibot

To access the UKK Screen, play a 1 player game and lose.  When the UKK Screen appears, enter these codes before the time runs out.  If the codes are entered correctly, a message appears telling you the character that is now under your control.  They are now in the middle of the character select screen.
