* The Cheats Menu must be activated before you can access the secret characters.

Play As Meat

In the VS Mode, select the "Group" icon at the select screen and play as all of the characters. When you are done with the last character (being Quan Chi), the next character you decide to be will turn into Meat. Meat will have the moves of that character you just chose to be.

Play As Sektor

Highlight the "Hidden" icon at the select screen, and press and hold L and R at the same time to choose it. Then, while still holding L and R, move over to Cyrax and highlight him. When you select Cyrax, choose him using the A button.

Play As Noob Saibot

Highlight the "Hidden" icon at the select screen, and press and hold L and R at the same time to choose it. Then, while still holding L and R, move over to Reiko and highlight him. When you select Reiko, choose him using the A button.

Play As Goro

Highlight the "Hidden" icon at the select screen, and press and hold L and R at the same time to choose it. Then, while still holding L and R, move over to Shinnok and highlight him. When you select Shinnok, choose using the A button.

Easy Biography Viewing

To view anyone's bio without beating the whole game again, highlight the character in Kombat Theater and press the R button. This can only be done is you'e beaten the game once with that character.

View Sektor's Bio

To view Sektor's bio, beat the game with him. Then, go to Kombat Theater and highlight the new slot beside Raiden's Opening Intro at the bottom left of the screen. Press the R button to see his bio, or the A button to see his ending.

Alternate Costumes

At the Character Select Screen, highlight any character, hold "Start", and press any button as many times as indicated for a costume swap. For most characters without one swap listed, pressing once will change the costume's color and change the weapon.

Cyrax: Unmasked -- 2 flips
Johnny Cage: Tux -- 3 flips
Kai: Leather jacket and sunglasses -- 3 flips
Liu Kang: No shirt -- 1 flip
Liu Kang: Classic outfit -- 2 flips
Noob Saibot: Unmasked -- 1 flip
Noob Saibot: Jacket and hood -- 3 flips *

Raiden: Classic outfit -- 2 flips
Reptile: Classic MK2 outfit -- 2 flips
Scorpion: Unmasked and grey costume -- 2 flips
Sonya: Pink costume with no hat -- 3 flips
Sub-Zero: Unmasked -- 2 flips
Sub-Zero: Half frozen -- 1 flip
Tanya: Black outfit -- 3 flips

* -- It has been reported that this costume will crash the game.
